Alan joined Oasis at the start of making What's The Story (Morning Glory) and has been with them ever since. He replaced Tony McCarroll in April of 1995 as Noel fired him as he didn't feel he was progressing musically with the rest of the band.
Alan is the brother of Steve White who is the drummer for Paul Weller. He gets stick off the band for being a 'cockney'.
